The world of Relic Stormers – adventurers and treasure hunters for hire – is full of mystery and danger, requiring a special type of storytelling to capture their daring escapades. We wanted to introduce this concept through one of the most infamous Relic Stormers, Kate Karter. To do this, we created audio logs detailing her missions and thoughts. This decision was made to help her character come to life, giving fans another point of immersion within the Knightverse.
And so began the hunt for the perfect voice actor to play the part of Kate Karter. Someone who would take our vision, embody the role, and translate it into immersive audio logs. Soon, we would find our Relic Stormer.
Kate Karter, Relic Stormer | D Casellian
D Casellian is a voice actor and movement artist living in Southeast Michigan. For over a decade, she was a performer and instructor of stage combat and aerial circus, proficient in whip cracking, archery, swordplay, fire arts, and generally getting her ass kicked. She brings her senses of adventure and physicality with her into the booth, using them to enliven video games, audio dramas, audio books, and even commercials with dynamic flair. When not in the booth, she enjoys spending time with her 6-year-old and a black cat named Om.
Relic Stormer Audio Logs | The Adventures of Kate Karter

When it came to creating the script for Kate Karter’s audio logs, there were many things to consider. Not only her personality and past, but also how she fits into the wider Knightverse. Which events would affect her travels and jobs? Which other characters would she cross paths with? How would this affect which jobs she accepted or rejected? What should be revealed about the world of Relic Stormers, and what should be kept hidden for later? How many audio logs should we release initially? What should the very first voice note be? After much back and forth, we came up with answers to each of these questions.
